連窓の家#2築20年でガルバはこうなる。棟は剥がれ、アスファルトルーフィングが見える。ミスチル桜井の実家桜井工務店が近所なのでそこに塗装してもらう。House with ribbon windows # 2 , 20 years after construction, galvalume steel roof has become like this. The ridge plate has been peeled off and asphalt roofing can be seen. Mr. Children Sakurai’s parents’ house Sakurai Komuten is in the neighborhood, so I asked him to paint the roof .
デリカシー

設計の仕事は工学的じゃなく、芸術的じゃない部分が多い。接客業的部分である。寒い暑い、明るい暗い、うるさい、などクライアントの気にすることを、気にできるかどうかのデリカシーがないと設計はできない。それはある程度場数だけど、配偶者は育ちでしょと言う。そうだとするといくら教育しても無駄だ。
Design work is not engineering, and there are many parts that are not artistic. It is a hospitality business. It is not possible to design without the delicacy of whether or not the client can care about things such as cold and hot, bright and dark, and noisy. It’s made out of certain number of experiences, but my spouse says it depends on how you grow up.If so it I doesn’t make sense to educate.
北斎

先日ひょんなことで小布施堂のご主人を紹介された。北斎館の館長もされているらしく北斎つながりでサントリー美術館の北斎展の宣伝をされていた。かなりいいものがあるらしい。
The other day, I was introduced to the owner of Obusedou by chance. He is also the director of the Hokusai-kan, and he seems to be somehow related to the Hokusai exhibition at the Suntory Museum of Art. He said it would exhibit something pretty good.
管付流

グルーヴィジョンズのこのデザインはカバーなしでグレーとシルバーの二つ帯。クール。管付さんのクリエーションへの視点は一貫して過剰、贅沢、嗜好、こそが人間が必要としているものだということ。これは間違いない。
山縣良和の対談でハッとしたのは、セントマーチンや、アントワープ王立アカデミーと日本のファッションスクールの違い。向こうはアートこちらは裁縫なので日本ではスカートの作り方を教えるが、向こうではスカートとは何かを考えさせるのだという。建築でもそういうことをもう少し考えさせたほうがいいのだと思う。
This Groovisions design has two bands, gray and silver, without a cover. That is cool. Mr. Sugatsuke’s perspective on creation is consistently that Human being needs, such as excess luxury. No doubt.
In the dialogue with Yoshikazu Yamagata, I was surprised at the difference between St. Martin, Royal Academy of Antwerp and the fashion school in Japan. In Japan they teach how to make skirts but in London or Antwerp they let students think what skirts are. I think it’s better to make students think about such things a little more in architecture.
