ジムで自転車漕ぎながら、朝ブログを書くのが日課。しかし今日は自転車前のモニターに映るラグビー🏉早稲田対帝京に見入る。早稲田が、同点からツートライをあげた。今年は行けるかも。しかし秩父宮が結構観客で埋まっている。やっぱり嬉しい😃

My daily routine is to write a blog in the morning while riding a bicycle at the gym. However, today I see Rugby 🏉 Waseda vs. Teikyo on the monitor in front of the bicycle. Waseda got two-try from the tie. Maybe they will make it this year. By the way Chichibunomiya  is quite full of spectators. I am happy 😃

デジタルドロップアウトがんばる

建築論の問題群研究会が去年の第５回の後コロナで延期となっていた。６回法政、７回東大、そして夏の学会でPDやる予定が全部流れた。そこでなんとかしなければと、野球だってついに優勝が決まるまでやっているというのに、オタオタしていられない。ということで第６回をとびこえて７回だった東大を先に無観客でやることにした。テーマは時間性と素材性、加藤さんの著書に負うところも大きいし、私の常日頃考えてきた質料性の問題でもある。zoom配信なので是非多くの人の参加をお待ちします。下記に参加申し込みするとURLが送られてきます。

After the 5th conference on Architectural problematics was held , the 6th and 7th conference had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 . So we had to do something about it. I couldn’t just geek out over a baseball game until the championship was finally decided. So we decided to skip the 6th conference and hold the 7th conference at Tokyo University without audience first. 言葉で位置付けられない建築を言葉で説明すると、例えば伊東豊雄は自らの建築をArchitecture as Sensation 感覚としての建築と称した。また篠原一男の建築はForm of Emotion情動の形と呼ばれる。いずれも建築の最終的な局面はパトスである。しかしそこにたどり着くまではやはりロゴスであることは間違いない。

To explain architecture that cannot be positioned in words, for example, Toyo Ito called his architecture Architecture as Sensation. Kazuo Shinohara’s architecture is called the Form of Emotion. In both cases, the final aspect of architecture is in pathos. However, there is no doubt that it is Logos until it gets there.
