Shiozaki’s designs always go through the law well. A fire resisting division through pit section must be provided in a three-story concrete fireproof building. However, if the stairs and partition walls are made of wood and are regarded as a semi-fireproof building, the fire resisting division through pit section becomes unnecessary and a continuous space above and below becomes possible.
The February 15th issue of JIA Magazine is almost finished. This month’s issue, titled “When Architecture is Born,” introduces the public spaces that the young presidents of Nikken Sekkei, Nihon Sekkei, and Kume Sekkei, who were born in the 1960s, were involved.
According to the Kyodo News reporter handbook, they are supposed to use Common kanji with a few exceptions. They say even if the kanji 附, that is a part of the name of my Highschool is Common kanji, you can’t use that kanji. Are proper nouns are exceptions?
I like the paintings on the windows of Andrew Wyeth. Toshiyuki Horie explained the geranium drawn by Wyeth which looks through the window in his book “The Confused Window”. “The act of waiting for something without knowing what will happen increases the strength of the screen.” The point was that the reason I like it is that it’s creepy. There are some expectations for the windows I design.

Six of us translators split up to look at the 414 red and black pages of Wigley’s White Walls. I am grateful for the comments, even those related to the content. We write in blue and green our responses and excuses. Still, it’s huge!
There is an idea : common kanji, and the government is instructing not to use very difficult kanji. Is there a concept of common English and American in English and American? Do newspaper reporters try to use simple words in the handbook : Common English-American Handbook? An American told me Obama occasionally used difficult words and made his speech magnificent. Trump talked differently, consciously or unconsciously in a junior high school vocabulary. It seems that Japanese people have no intelligence when imitating Trump, so increase the vocabulary. But does the number of words used tend to decrease as English becomes the world language?
