While I was in Ochanomizu, I saw the exterior of a rental building of Sumitomo Fudosan designed by my OG, Honda. Why are office buildings so square in plan? Half of the reason lies in the system ceiling. I thought the other half was the shape of the site, but the site of this building is not square. Mies surprised the public with his proposal for a non-square office building on a non-square site, but in the end, he only designed a square office building. Was it because all American construciton sites were square?
I read Mr. Reinin Nakatani’s textbook on architectural history since the Renaissance. As he says, “Architecture has become a mode.” Mark Wigley found the turning point for architectural modelization at the end of the 19th century. Still, we can understand that the Renaissance already had the germ of architectural modelization. That’s understandable.
There is a bench for one person on Kagurazaka-dori, and when the weather is nice I am sitting on the way home from the gym and basking in the sun. Then I think goals for four years later and goals for this year. The former is that I let the the treatises of five doctors pass (this is a duty rather than a goal). Next, live in three bases. However, I haven’t been able to imagine it at all in Corona. The problem is that it’s comfortable to stay at home. The latter is the creation of a new office system. I want to challenge further public design.
The last time I had a trilogy with Morinaga from Anrealage was in 2012 when Mariko Nishitani recommended him to me. At the time, Morinaga was a fashion sensation with his ⚪︎△⬜︎ line of spherical, triangular pyramidal, and cubic clothing. Two years later, at the age of 34, he stunned the world with a garment that changed color when exposed to light. I have been going to the collections, buying and wearing the clothes since I first met him. I have been a Morinaga fan for almost ten years. Morinaga is a quiet man, but he carefully chooses his words and talks about his life in fashion in his new book. It’s been a long time since I’ve come across a book where I could feel the passionate heart of a creator. I want to transfer this feeling to myself and make my creations. Thank you, Morinaga.
To put it simply, Levinas’s theory of others is to ban people from being labeled and think about why people look that way. He paraphrased the teaching with the metaphor “shifting from the stage to the direction.” I think it is important to look at everything from fashion to architecture, not just people. By doing so, I think that what is inherent in it can be seen faintly.
I was surprised to hear that Kazuo Shinohara had told Mr. Shiozaki that his last work was included in the genealogy of the House in white (first style). That was one of the conclusions of the quantitative analysis of Kazuo Shinohara’s house in Mr. Omura’s dissertation. Mr. Omura’s over 400-page treatise has been uploaded below. Please have a look.
I Have the books I bought sent by Takkyubin and lay them side by side on the floor. Neither buying nor reading is systematic. So in order to systematize them in my head, I have to remember the main points. That’s why I make a note on my blog. The blog has a search function. So it’s better than a notebook to prosthesis a half-broken 60 brain.
