Shiozaki and Kobayashi gave me a collection of their works, and their works often show independent structures. Its appearance is delicate, not as larger than necessary, like that of Kazuo Shinohara.

Takeshi Umehara, who was the same age as my father, stayed in Kyoto after thinking about leaving his hometown of Kyoto when he entered university. The reason is that he thought that if he went to Tokyo, he would (at that time) be busy at thinkig which he should choose the establishment or the anti-establishment, and could not do cultural studies leisurely. It is true that the many graduates of University of Tokyo are in the political and business world, and the University of Kyoto has many graduates in the cultural sector. It’s no wonder that there are many Nobel laureates from Kyoto University.
According to Tadashi Suzuki, there is a difference between the geinou (performing arts) and geijutsu(the arts.) The performing arts exist to strengthen the community’s bonds, while the arts exist as the spiritual terrorism of people whom the community rejected. This definition may no longer be generally accepted, but I think that society would be crazy without such an existence. In other words, I think it is clear that art needs to play such a role.
