『白い壁』はある意味ギーディオン研究だった。この本はレイナー・バンハム研究である。21世紀になって20世紀の歴史家の歴史編纂に物申す人が色々現れた。面白い。”White Walls” was, in a sense, a Giedion study. This book is a study of Reyner Banham. In the 21st century, various people appeared to say something in the historiography of 20th century historians. interesting.

この本は「レストラン」はフランス革命を契機に爆発的に増え、それまでとは違う新しい料理を出していた。と言う定説を覆し、１８世紀から徐々に増えそこで出された料理はすでに新しかったっと主張する。その話は建築家ルドゥーの登場と重なる。彼もルイ１６世のお抱え建築家だったが、すでにこっそりと斬新なドローインを１８世紀の半ばには描いていた。時代の変わり目は突然は来ないと言うことだろう。This book argues that the number of “restaurants” exploded after the French Revolution and served new and different cuisine. It argues that the number of restaurants gradually increased from the 18th century and that the food served there was already unique. This story coincides with the appearance of the architect Ledoux. He, too, was an architect to Louis XVI, but he was already secretly drawing innovative designs by the middle of the 18th century. It seems that the turn of the times does not come suddenly.
