日建の残業はぐんと減ったと言う。と言うことはこなす仕事が減って収入が減ったか、仕事の質が落ちたかどっち？と聞いたらどっちでもない。今までやっていた、やらなくていいことを、やめたんだと言う。それって何？興味深いが聞き忘れた。
It is said that overtime work at Nikken has decreased dramatically. Does that mean that the work to be done has decreased and the income has decreased, or the quality of the work has deteriorated? I heard that it was neither. My friend says they have stopped doing what they were doing and what they didn’t have to do. What is that? Interesting but forgot to hear.

『life shift 1』は人生１００歳時代には勉学、仕事、引退という３ステージではなく、勉学、探索、自律した生産、ポートフォリオワークというマルチステージを生きろと説明する。『life shift 2』はそういう時代の企業と教育機関はどうあるべきかを説く。そこでは年齢、時間、子育て、の制限を廃止し、マルチステージの生き方を支援せよと促す。

“Life shift 1” explains that in 100 years of life, you should live in the multi-stage of study, exploration, autonomous production, and portfolio work, instead of the three stages of study, work, and retirement. “Life shift 2” explains what companies and educational institutions should be in such an era. It abolishes the age, time, and parenting restrictions and encourages support for a multi-stage way of life.

週一くらいで覗くアンティーク屋にWedge wood のnight and day(廃盤品）があった。ウエッジウッドでは珍しい真っ白なティーカップで新品は手に入らないものである。リブデザインがまた素敵である。2脚あったので思わず最近婚約したカップルにあげたくなった。

There was a Wedge wood night and day (discontinued product) at an antique shop that I peeked at about once a week. It’s a white tea cup, which is rare in Wedgwood, and you can’t get a new one. The rib design is also nice. They had  a couple,  so I wanted to give it to a new couple who was recently engaged.

「運も実力のうち」とよく言うがサンデルは「実力も運のうち」と言う。サンデルのしたで学部ハーバードの学生は能力は自らの努力で身につけたと言うが努力できる環境があったのは偶然に過ぎない。だから能力の多寡で人の価値を判断してはいけないのである。賛成！
It is often said that “luck is ability”, but Sandel says “ability is luck”. It is only a coincidence that Sandel’s undergraduate Harvard students have acquired their abilities through their own efforts, but there was an environment in which they could make efforts. Therefore, one should not judge the value of a person based on the amount of ability.I agree.
