10日前に買ったほおずきが黄色くなってきた。パプリカのようだ。The hozuki I bought 10 days ago is turning yellow. It’s like paprika.

シンポジウムのポスターができた。タイトルは「篠原の空間から学ぶこと」。日時　場所はまだ仮決めである。ポスターデザインは大村聡一郎君。The poster for the symposium has been completed. The title is “Learn ing space from Shinohara”. The date and the venue is temporarily decided. Soichiro Omura designed the poster.

僕は音楽評と言うようなものに興味がなかった。音楽できない評論家の戯言に興味はなかった。しかし初めて吉田秀和の10遍以上のポロヴィッツ評を読んで考えが変わった。もちろん言葉から音は聞こえないから度々you tubeで音は参照するのだが、その音たちが、言葉によって正確に構造化され、吉田の妥当な価値観に基づき位置付けられているのである。これは信頼できるなと感じた。恐らく建築界では、多木浩二が吉田に匹敵するのだと思う。吉田や多木に継ぐ批評眼、批評耳が現れないないのは残念である。
I had never read a music critic. I wasn’t interested in the critics who couldn’t play music. However, for the first time, I changed my mind after reading Hidekazu Yoshida’s review of more than 10 Vladimir Samoilovich Horowitz . Of course, I can’t hear sounds from words, so I often refer to sounds on you tube, but those sounds are accurately structured by words and positioned based on Yoshida’s reasonable values. I felt this was reliable. I think Koji Taki is probably comparable to Yoshida in the architectural world. It is a pity that the criticisms and ears that succeed Yoshida and Taki do not appear.

指揮者のプロムシュテットは給与を殆ど本に費やしたそうで蔵書数が半端ない。しかし死後の寄贈先が決まっているそうだ。羨ましい。僕の蔵書も残された人に迷惑をかけないように考えておかないとなあ。The conductor, ,Blomstedt seems to have spent most of his salary on books, and the number of books in his collection is huge. However, it seems that the donation destination after his death has been decided. Jealous. I have to think about my collection so as not to bother the people left.

東京西部の丘陵に広がる霊園のランドスケープに目を見張る。復活した夏に汗が止まらず献杯のワインも飲みきれず霊園を後にする。篠原研の先輩と帰路をともにした。彼は学生の時の非常勤講師が林昌二だったそうだ。林雅子も、たまに来て同級生だった三人はざっくばらんにエスキスチェックや講評会で言い合いをしていたと言う。お互い言いたいことは言うがリスペクトしていたと言う。こういう友がいたのはお互い幸せだったなと思う。

You will be amazed at the landscape of the cemetery that spreads out in the hills of western Tokyo. In the summer which comes back again, I couldn’t stop sweating and couldn’t drink the toast of wine, so I left the cemetery. I went home with my senior at Shinohara Lab. He said that his part-time lecturer when he was a student was Shoji Hayashi. Masako Hayashi also sometimes show up and he said  that the three classmates who came occasionally had an argument at esquis check and critique. They say they said what they want to say each other, but they respect each other. I think they were happy to have such friends.

楽譜内の文字、forte,piano,allegro ,andanteなどなどこれらはみなイタリア語である。建築同様音楽のメッカはイタリアなのだ。しかし近代の作曲家は自国語を使うそうだ。建築もローマ崇拝はその昔。多極化は文化も政治も同じである。
The letters in the score, forte, piano, allegro, andante, etc. are all Italian. Like architecture, the mecca of music is Italy. However, modern composers use their own language. In the case of Architecture, Roman worship is long ago. Multipolarization is the same in culture and politics.
