弘前レンガ倉庫美術館に来まし。道路に平行に建っていない、建ち方が良いなあ。I came to the Hirosaki Brick Warehouse Museum. It’s not built parallel to the road, it’s good to be built.

「本は参考文献から読む」とセットエンブの井上君が言っていた。それ以来私もそうする。塩崎さんの新著をいただき弘前に向かう車中読み始めた。圧倒的に篠原一男と磯崎新の文献が多いのに驚いた。彼の隠れた師なのだろう。さまざまな知識が披露されながら彼の重なりの思想に到達する長い道のりはあたかも彼と話しているようで楽しい。共感するところは多い。Mr. Inoue of Setenv said, “I read books from references.” I have done the same since then. I received Mr. Shiozaki’s new book and started reading it on the way to Hirosaki. I was surprised by the overwhelming amount of literature by Kazuo Shinohara and Arata Isozaki. It must be his hidden teacher. The long journey to arrive at his overlapping thoughts while various knowledge is presented is as fun as talking to him. There are many thoughts to sympathize.

アボガドを巻いたカリフォルニアロールを食べて昔のゲーリー建築を思い出した。ローカルフードとローカルアーキテクチャである。しかしそのやり方は普通ではない。100年続く伝統の料理と建築なんていうのはよくあるけど。地元の素材で既存をリノベする料理や建築は実にLAっぽい。
