We presented a certain renovation design for the wall that separates the donut-shaped gallery on the second floor from the atrium. I decided to make three more random designs, but the schematic design is almost finished.
Doctoral degree conferment ceremony. Congratulations to Mr. Iwasawa. It was quite difficult to write while being a university teacher, but your ability to concentrate was amazing.
President’s speech: “Use the knowledge you have acquired” and “Create a path instead of choosing the path given to you.” That’s a good thing to say. I agree.
I finished reading the Imperial Hotel book that Mr. Yamazaki wrote a review for in no time. I’m surprised that even though Eiichi Shibusawa became (or made) the company’s chairman, the occupancy rate was in the single digits when it first opened. Tourists stopped in Yokohama. Although there was an earthquake on the opening day, there was little damage because the building was divided into 10 blocks by expansion joints using a floating foundation, and no fire broke out because it was all electric. It sounds like a lie, but I’m surprised again.
JIA Magazine Interview After Mr. Fujino’s natural world is Osamu’s urban world. Why did he start thinking about cities? And why does he publish children’s books in this way? I learnt a lot about the way how the words of architects could be conveyed to the people.
