I received a private edition of the book as a supplementary prize for the Excellence Award. This is a valuable book. JIA長野建築賞で伊東さんから優秀賞をいただきました。３間角の小さな小屋に驚くほど濃密で流動的な空間が生まれていたとのコメントが嬉しい。We received the Excellence Award from Mr. Ito at the JIA Nagano Architecture Award. I’m glad to hear the positive comments about how a surprisingly dense and fluid space was created in this small 3-square hut.

Van Hongoさんはアントワープのファッションデザイナー。高校の後輩で早稲田の古谷研で平瀬さんと同期で卒計でファションショーやったツワモノ。アントワープ王立アカデミーで学び直した。年に一度作品持って来日する。今日明日やってるのをFBで見て授業後寄った。いやー素敵なニットあり。Van Hongo is a fashion designer from Antwerp. She was a high school junior, at Waseda University’s Furuya Lab, and was a classmate of Mr. Hirase. She was an energetic person who did a fashion show for her graduation project. She went back to study at the Antwerp Royal Academy. She comes to Japan once a year with her works. I saw on FB that she is doing it today and tomorrow and stopped by after class. Yes, there are some nice knits.
