大岡山建築賞審査にOB20人くらい集まる。現役入れたら100人くらい観戦。選ばれた14人がプレゼン。OB先生たちが本務校との差を語る。都立大、芸大、明治、理科大、日工大、名工大、宇都宮大、関東学院大、茨城大、千葉大、総じて東工大は社会派。Approximately 20 alumni gather to judge the Ookayama Architecture Award. There are about 100 people watching. 14 selected people gave presentations. Alumni teachers talk about the difference from their main school. Metropolitan University, University of the Arts, Meiji University, Tokyo University of Science, Nikko University, Nagoya Institute of Technology, Utsunomiya University, Kanto Gakuin University, Ibaraki University, Chiba University, Tokyo Tech is generally a social school.

今日は東工大の卒業設計優秀作品発表会。主催は、TIT 建築設計教育研究会。これは建築学科同窓会である冬夏会とは別組織別会費。会誌『華』の作成と優秀卒計へ「大岡山建築賞」を差し上げるのが目的。一昨年、金箱さんが運営委員長になり誘われて入会。なので今日は行ってみることにした。会員には投票権があるらしい。今年の会費朝振り込みました。Today, We have Tokyo Tech’s graduation design excellence work presentation. Sponsored by TIT Architectural Design Education Research Group. This is a separate membership fee from the Winter/Summer Association, which is the Department of Architecture’s alumni association. The purpose is to create the journal “Hana” and to award the “Ookayama Architecture Award” to outstanding graduates. Two years ago, Mr. Kanebako became the Chairman of the steering committee and invited me to join. So I decided to go there today. Members have the right to vote I transferred this year’s membership fee this morning.

思い描いた建築をスケッチしても、思い描いたものは現れない。だから50案くらい作る。思うことを文書にしても思ったことが文章になって現れることはない。だから書き直す。でも50回は書かない。多くて20回。これってどうなんだろう？50回くらい書き直せということなのかなあ？
Even if you sketch the architecture you have in mind, what you have in mind will not appear. So I’ll make about 50 ideas. Even if you write your thoughts down in writing, your thoughts will never be expressed in writing. So I’ll rewrite it. But I won’t write it 50 times. 20 times at most. What is this? Does that mean I have to rewrite it about 50 times?
