Friday, July 5th 19:50-21:20 We invited Mr. Tomohiko Yamanashi and Mr. Hiroaki Otani of Nikken Sekkei to the Kagurazaka campus of the Tokyo University of Science, and they will give a 20-minute lecture on “Methods of Architectural Ideation” and we hold a discussion. 書斎の机は立っていても作業しやすいように85センチある。それに合わせて椅子は昇降式でクッション入れて65センチまで上がる。そうすると足が余るので足置き台を作った高さは25センチ、既存の棚に合わせたので少し高いが快適である。

The desk in the study is 85 cm high so that it is easy to work while standing. In line with this, the chair can be raised and lowered to a height of 65 cm with cushions. That way, there would be extra legs, so the height of the footrest I made was 25cm, which matched the existing shelf, so it was a little tall but comfortable.

Muse scoreというフリーの記譜アプリを使い始めた。メロディ作りはは論理ではない歌ってみなさいと先生に言われ、家の中で歌う。しかし作曲（記譜）は論理だと言う。建築もそうじゃないですかと言われた。たしかにスケッチは呟き。設計は論理かも。I started using a free notation app called Muse score. Creating a melody is not about logic.The teacher tells me to sing it, so I sing it at home. But he says that composition (notation) is logic. Isn’t that the same with architecture, he told me? Certainly, the sketch is a murmur. Design may be logic.

1ヶ月後に始まる神楽坂まつりの飾りつけを未だ人のいない朝している。Craftsmen are putting up lanterns for the Kagurazaka Festival, which starts in a month’s time, in the morning when there are no people around.
