来週金曜日10月4日から9日まで神楽坂アユミギャラリーで小さな展覧会をします。海外で展示した模型、最近のプロジェクトの模型、全部で9つ。2001年からの著書、訳書、編著、22冊を並べて建築と思考の関係を展示します。

I will be holding a small exhibition at Kagurazaka Ayumi Gallery from next Friday, October 4th to October 9th. There are nine models in total, including models exhibited overseas and models from recent projects. 22 books, translations, and edited volumes since 2001 on the relationship between architecture and thinking will be displayed.

スペインから出す日本の現代建築アフター2015。エンリク•マッシブとトマス•ダニエルとぼくで100候補を選び、1人25作くらいに投票した。3人ともいいと言ったのは平田さんのTree-ness House Mixed-use building 、青木さんのKyocera Museum of Art, Kyotoドットの Chidori Culture VuildのThe Learning Architecture for Learners、NapのUnderground Libraryの5作。なかなか意見が合わない。30作品は選びたい。

数ヶ月前は住友林業と一条工務店、先日はミサワホームとヘーベルハウスの図面を見せていただきアドバイスを頼まれた。どれも基本設計が終わったくらいで契約してくださいという少し手前。契約金は数百万円だそうだが、契約した後どのくらい対応してくれるのだろうか。ハウスメーカーに家を頼んで後悔していた親友曰く、希望は何も聞き入れられなかったと言っていた。釣った魚に餌はやらないらしい。

解約しても印紙代と一回の打ち合わせ費10000円以外は返却してくれるということなので両方と契約してどちらが誠意ある設計をしてくれるか比べてみたらどうですかとアドバイスした。

ヘーベルハウスは10人くらいで設計していて安心ですみたいなアピールをし設計チーム全員で写っているA3の写真が資料の最初に載っていた。住宅一軒を10人で設計するなんて現実的ではないからたまに設計会議やってちらっと見てちょこっとアドバイスをしているくらいなことでしょう。こんなことに騙されてはいけませんよと言っておいた。

A few months ago, I was shown drawings of Sumitomo Forestry and Ichijo Komuten, and the other day drawings of Misawa Home and Hebel House and I asked for advice. All of them are a little ahead of us, asking us to sign a contract just as the basic design is about finished. They said the contract fee is several million yen, but I wonder how long they will support them after the contract is signed. A good friend of mine, who had ordered a house from a house builder and regretted it, said that they didn’t listen to any of his wishes. It seems that they don’t feed the fish they catch.

hey said they would return all but the stamp fee and the 10,000 yen per meeting fee if they canceled the contract, so I advised them to sign both contracts and compare which one would provide a more sincere design.

Hebel House appealed that they had a team of about 10 people working on the design, and an A3 photo of the entire design team was included in the first page of the document. It is not realistic to expect 10 people to design a single house, so they probably hold design meetings occasionally to glance at the houses and give a little advice. I told them that they should not be fooled by such a thing.
