On
by 卓 坂牛

The Japanese Secession exhibition that Mr. Taji and his colleagues worked hard to prepare started safely. It is very nice. There are also many visitors. The catalog is also good.
By the way, they were still in their mid-twenties, devoting their entire lives to the joy of architecture, deciding to die, and asking the world about their architecture. Marvel. But in half the life expectancy they are now, university may have been the place to do things. Isn’t it possible for today’s students to have the spirit to open up their lives, even if it’s only one tenth of that? You can’t do anything for 100 years in your life..

by 卓 坂牛

Soseki Natsume is a novelist who describes the lack of ego of modern Japanese people. And often it ends with a lamentation. However, Ogai Mori is a contrasting writer who awakens to his own ego and never collides with the walls of society. Masakazu Yamazaki learned that he wrote such Ogai in “Ogai Mori Fighting Patriarch” and I suddenly wanted to read it. This is because I still feel that Japanese are non-autonomous people without ego. Did this happen because there were so many Ogai who didn’t feel the lack of ego?

Mr. Shoichi Kashima has passed away. I pray that his soul may rest in peace. He was a senior member of my spouse and me.
My wife and I came to the opening of the SD Review 3years ago , to see him there and explained my project. I remember he said, half-jokingly, “You cheated me” when I submitted my work without telling that it was my house.

On

The student moderator asked if you agree or disagree with the disparate society. The theme of the day was classism. It was a bit surprising that the majority of the students answered yes to the question. Rather than a society with a hierarchy of seniority and equality, most students seemed to think that a society with disparities is inevitably created through competition. I used to think that way too, but unless we take a look at the bigger picture, the organization will worsen.
