今日入稿なのに編集後記、やっと先ほど書き終えた。今月の表紙は長谷川豪さん。彼は「上棟した時」まで建築は生まれないと言い、経堂の住宅の屋根（天井）が銀色に輝いた上棟数分後にやっと建築が生まれたと感じたという。
I’ve just finished writing this post-editorial, even though it’s due in today. This month’s cover is by Go Hasegawa. He says that architecture is not born until “when the structure is finished”, and that he felt that architecture was finally born a few minutes after the roof (ceiling) of House in Kyodo shone silver.

しまった。昨晩、米ナスにチーズ乗せて魚焼きに入れたまま食べ忘れた。電子レンジにちんしたままとか、視界から消えると意識から消える。

Oops. Last night, I forgot to eat it with cheese on rice eggplant and roasted in fish oven. It disappears from consciousness when it disappears from sight.

大川家具の回転昇降椅子が届いた。座面を取ると小さなテーブルになる。オークだがかなりの色むら。見本品に偽りありと配偶者は憤慨。

The swivel chair of Okawa Furniture has arrived. When you take the seat, it becomes a small table. Oak but with considerable color unevenness. The spouse is indignant that the sample is false.

薄っぺらなものでふくよかさを、重いもので軽さを、硬いもので柔らかさを、そしてどこか楽しい。イサム・ノグチ。

Isamu express plump by flimsy,  light by heaviness and softness by hardness and somehow fun.

浴室のガラス窓は冬の間プチプチを貼って断熱していた。昨日剥がしたら、ナンテンの新緑が芽吹いていて嬉しかった。この小さな庭は風通しが悪く今ひとつ草木が元気に育たないのだが、その不安を払拭してくれた。
The glass windows in the bathroom were insulated during the winter. When I peeled it off yesterday, I was happy that the fresh green of Nandina was sprouting. This small garden is not well ventilated and the vegetation does not grow well, but it dispelled that anxiety.
