友人が設計に関わった皇居脇のホテルに行ってみた。3×2.3の窓は圧巻だが、ど真ん中の方だては残念。吉村順三の宮殿屋根が美しい。外気温は15度くらいだろうか、ペア＋シングルでもコールドドラフトは激しい。

I went to a hotel beside the Imperial Palace where my friend was involved in the design.  The 3×2.3 window is beautiful, but the one mullion in the middle. Is unfortunately annoying.  The roof of the palace designed by Junzo Yoshimura is beautiful.  The outside temperature seems to be  about 15 degrees Celsius, and the cold draft is intense even for pairs and single glasses.  I wish I had airflow window.

富士見小屋の敷地に工務店社長と行く。丸太屋根は現地の松を乾かして使う。使えそうな松を物色する。

Went to the site of Fujimi hut with the president of the construction company.  The log roof is made out of local pine trees dried.  Searched for pine trees that can be used.
 

久しぶりに模型持って、バックパック背負って朝早くから出張だ。
I took a model for the first time in a long time, carried a backpack on my back, and went on a business trip early in the morning.

There is a fourth grader studying along the cliff line in Tokyo. There are many unique houses with cliff lines running around my house.

信大の教え子香川翔薫の二回目のSDレビュー入選を祝おうと集まったら本人は病欠。で、お祝いの趣旨を変えて、独立した皆を祝うことにした。香川はだいぶ前に松田平田を辞めた。塩入も数年前にTNAを辞し、藤岡はシーラカンス、植松は山田守、田中はサルハウスから独立した。おめでとう！さあみな会社を辞めて「建築家」になろう。

Shinshu University student Shokun Kagawa was sick when we gathered to celebrate his second SD review selected. So I decided to change the purpose of the celebration and celebrate everyone who has been independent. Kagawa quit Matsuda Hirata a long time ago. Shioiri also resigned from TNA a few years ago, Fujioka from a coelacanth, Uematsu from Mamoru Yamada, and Tanaka independent from Salhouse. Congrats! Let’s all quit the company and become an “architect”.

昨日事務所で、こんな懐かしい雑誌に遭遇。大学3年の時この雑誌を買い、同級生稲葉なおと達と大阪でレンタカーし表紙の家を見に行き、住吉の長屋ではノーアボで中を見せていただいた。九州に行き磯崎さんをみて周り、糸島の住宅まで行った。

I encountered such a nostalgic magazine at the office yesterday. I bought this magazine when I was in my third year of University , rented a car with my classmate Naoto Inaba in Osaka to see the cover house, and at Row House in Sumiyoshi, they showed me the inside with no appointment . I went to Kyushu, saw Mr. Isozaki’s works, and went to a house in Itoshima.
