この本はワインのソムリエになるための本ではなく、ワインという商品を巡る社会学である。ワインの物性を生む自然と記号性を作る社会の揺らぎ中にワインがあるというそのあり方は似たようなものがあるのだろうと色々考えたがあまり思い浮かばない。あえて言えば建築である。自然から生まれる環境システムと人間が作る社会システムの間に建築はある。

This book is not a book for becoming a wine sommelier, but a sociology of wine. I wondered if there is something similar to the way wine exists in the fluctuations of society that creates the symbolism and the nature that give rise to the physical characteristics of wine, but I can’t think of much. If you dare to say it, it is architecture. Architecture lies between the environmental system born of nature and the social system created by humans.
