「建築は流れと淀み」と言い続けていたら、世の中には「流れと澱みを語る会」と言うものがありそこの幹事である国立遺伝学研究所の木村先生に呼ばれてお話しした。出席者は医学、生物物理学、細胞学、機械工学、渋滞学、などなど多彩。私が淀むところで人のコミュニケーションが生まれたりすることを述べると、医学の宮田先生は肝臓を通る静脈の図を見せてくれた。ここで血液は肝臓細胞とコミュニケーション（栄養の受け渡しなど）しており、私の建物と似ているとおしゃった。千葉学さんも僕の建物を内蔵と呼んだが、面白い一致である。While I kept saying “architecture is flow and stagnation”, there is a “group that talks about flow and stagnation” , and I was invited by the secretary, Professor Kimura of the National Institute of Genetics. Attendees are diverse, including medicine, biophysics, cytology, mechanical engineering, and congestion studies. When I mentioned that human communication was born when people are stagnant, Dr. Miyata of Medicine showed me a diagram of veins passing through the liver. He said that blood communicates with liver cells (such as the delivery of nutrients) and is similar to my building. Manabu Chiba also called my building built-in, which is an interesting match.

僕が日建で最初に設計した建物は1927年に渡辺節事務所て村野藤吾が担当した日比谷ダイビル。その本館はやはり渡辺節事務所が設計して1926年にできていた。そっくりだ。
The first building I designed at Nikken was the Hibiya Daibiru which was in charge of Togo Murano at the Watanabe Setsu office in 1927. The headquarter building of Daibiru was also designed by the Watanabe Setsu office and was built in 1926. It’s really similar to Hibiya Daibiru.

5年前に遠藤活彦さんが勝ったコンペのために作った事務所を訪れたのが本当に昨日のことのようである。今作っている本の取材を兼ねて見せていただいた。共用部分内壁はMバーを塗装したルーバー。
It seems like yesterday that I visited the office that Mr. Katsuhiko Endo created for the winning competition five years ago. I went there for the book I am making now. The inner wall of the common area is a louver which is the M bar painted in silver.

プラットフォーマーに対抗するためにはアソシエーションしかないかな。とても勉強になった。マルクス理解が深まる。I wonder if there is only an association to compete with the platformer. I learned a lot. Deepen understanding of Marx.

I had meeting through zoom iwith the structure engineer, builder, and staff to improve the plan, reduce the cost and could reduce it by 2 million. We must reduce another 500,000 yen. As a measure against termites, basic insulation becomes internal insulation.

新自由主義が加速すると競争に勝つためにデジタル化が加速し人々の生活を統治する。そんな社会を著者はデジタル封建制と呼んでいる。そこでは仕事がデジタルで細分化され機械的に処理され、働く人の全人格は不要となる。これが加速すると仕事はどんどんつまらなくなるだろう。仕事を面白くするには全人格が主体的に入り込めるものじゃないとダメだと思う。

As neoliberalism accelerates, digitization accelerates and governs people’s lives  to win the competition. The author calls such a society a digital feudal system. There, the work is digitally subdivided and processed mechanically, eliminating the need for the entire personality of the worker. If this accelerates, the work will become more and more boring. I think that to make a job interesting, the whole personality must be involved in the work..
