Professor Ken’ichi. Kawaguchi of the University of Tokyo showed us a seismic device that can be used for both a narrow wall and a part of the wall. I had always wanted to have something like this.

ついさっきこんな新刊が出た。ケネス・フランプトン『別の近代運動』これは白い壁と異なり、既存モダニズム解釈の読み替えではなく、既存モダニズムの威光で見えづらい別のモダニズムということらしい。面白いかな？

神楽坂通りの一画が解体された。13階建てのマンションをopen houseが作ろうとしている。底層は街並みを連続して欲しい。A section of Kagurazaka-dori was dismantled. Open house is about to build a 13-story condominium. I want the bottom layer to have a continuous cityscape.

自らが自らを作る生物のようなシステムを自己言及的なシステムとしてオートポィエシスと呼ぶ。ルーマンは社会そして芸術もそういうシステムとして読み込んだ。果たして建築はどうか？あるスタイルが自己言及的に反復する建築はそういうシステムの中で回っている。システムの外の影響を全く受けない建築である。

The biological system that oneself creates is called autopoyesis as a self-referential system. Niklas Luhmann read society and art as such a system. How about architecture? Architecture in which a style repeats in a self-referential manner revolves in such a system. The architecture is completely unaffected by the outside of the system.
