赤城神社の境内に1箇所だけ四角いマンホール脇のコンクリート平板が写真のように窪んでいる。先日そこに足がはまり気絶するほど足首の靭帯が伸びた。こんな宝くじを当てるような確率で窪みにハマるとは、、、情け無い。

The large precincts of Akagi Shrine are well paved. However, the concrete flat plate beside the square manhole is dented in only one place as shown in the photo. The other day, I fell into the hollow, and my ankle ligaments stretched so much that I thought I would get faint. I wonder how it is possible to fall in such a hollow as if I won the first prize in a public lottery.

中央公論美術出版社長の松室は中高の同期生。数少ない音楽を話せる友達。「音楽の聞き方」を始め彼の作った300冊以上の中公新書の何冊かは坂牛研のゼミ本。
Toru Matsumuro, the president of Chuo Koron Art Publishing, is a junior and senior high school classmate. A few friends whom I can speak music with. Some of the more than 300 Chuo Koron books he edited, including “How to listen to music,” are seminar books at SAKAUSHI lab.

午前中理科大の新しい国際化推進センター長とお話しした。学生に国際的興味を持ってもらうには先生がそれを説くしかないと言う。それを聞いて昔娘に言われたことを思い出した。国際化の重要性を伝えないで卒業させたらそれは教師の無責任であると。新しいセンター長がいらしたのでまた地道な努力をするか。コロナもあけそうなので。
In the morning, I talked with the new director of the Internationalization Promotion Center of Tokyo University of Science. As I remember, my daughter had told me that it is irresponsible for teachers to graduate students without communicating the importance of internationalization. The director also says that the only way to get students to have an international interest is to preach it. Since a new center director has arrived, will we make steady efforts again? as SOVID-19 ends.

相続税をシミュレーションしてみた。当たり前のことがよくわかった。さっさと逝けば残された人たちは税を払う。長く生きれば残すものはなく、シミュレーションは杞憂となる。だからまあ適度に長生きするのがいい。
I tried to simulate the inheritance tax. I understand the common sense. Those who are left behind will pay taxes if I die soon. If I live for a long time, there is nothing left to leave, and the simulation becomes groungless. So it’s good to live reasonably long.
