研究室の教員部屋は学生の模型制作用に開放している。今朝来たらなかなか見事な木軸模型が並んでいる。金箱さん原田さんの講評会を待っている。The faculty room in my laboratory is open for student model making. When I come this morning, I find beautiful wooden shaft models. They are waiting for the critique of Nr. Kanebako and Ms. Harada.

建築空間は「流れと淀み」であるといろいろなところで書いている。仕事も同じで、気持ちよく流れる場所と淀んで動かなくなってしまう所がある。きっと生きること自体が「流れと淀み」の中にあるのだろう。だから仕事も建築もそういう生の縮図として「流れと淀み」なのである。

It would be interesting if the builder became like a performer and made his own architecture while changing the materials and sizes. Blueprints are sold at bookstores like classical sheet music, and students play it in their own way. Clients also ask their favorite contractors for their favorite blueprints.

久しぶりに模型で施主打ち合わせ。プロジェクト最初の打ち合わせで珍しく案の方向性が決まった。模型の力かな？After a long time, we had a meeting with the owner with a model. At the first meeting of the project, the direction of the plan was decided, which is unusual. Is it the power of the model?

歌舞練場は祇園、先斗町花街にある劇場であると同時に芸妓・舞妓のための歌や舞踊、楽器等の練習場でもある。その背中が解体されそこに帝国ホテルが接続されるらしい。The Kaburenjo is a theater located in Gion and Pontocho Hanamachi, and at the same time, it is also a practice area for Geino and maiko singing, dancing, and musical instruments.
