OFDAの中川君甲津君をFujimi Hutへ招く。建物の外観チェックして図面見たと思ったら仕事。僕は夕飯の支度。朝3時まで話し話し話す。朝起きたら2人は仕事。僕は朝飯の支度。Invite OFDA’s Mr. Nakagawa and Mr. Kotsu to Fujimi Hut. They checked the exterior of the building and saw the drawing, then it started to work. I prepared dinner. Talk and talk until 3 in the morning. When we woke up in the morning, the two of them are at work. I prepared breakfast.

「可能性としての建築家」インタビューシリーズ第二回は手嶋保さんをお呼びしてJIA建築家クラブで話を聞いた。テーマはクラフツマンシップ。手嶋さんの師匠は吉村順三。その師匠はレイモンド。その母国チェコで聞いたレイモンドのセンスを手嶋建築に、多いに感じた。For the second installment of the “Architects as Possibilities” interview series, we invited Mr. Tamotsu Teshima to speak at the JIA Architects Club. The theme is craftsmanship. Teshima’s teacher is Junzo Yoshimura. That teacher is Raymond. I felt a lot of Raymond’s sense, which I heard in his home country Czech Republic, in Teshima’s architecture.

3年ぶりの会食の後に一言「人生は短い。だからやりたくないことはしてはいけない」。しかしそれを我が儘とせずに貫くには努力と技が必要だ。人生を無駄にしないようによく考えて生きていくこと。
After dinner for the first time in three years, I said, “Life is short. So don’t do what you don’t want to do.” However, it takes effort and skill to persevere without being selfish. Think carefully so as not to waste your Life.
