チェコ🇨🇿のオサムワークショップ初日、ルーマニア🇷🇴の学生、デリが研究室にジョイン。言葉は一応英語。日本語もなかなかキレイ。
In conjunction with the Czech Osamu‘s workshop, a Romanian student🇷🇴Deli joined the laboratory. They communicate in English . Surprisingly, she speaks beautiful Japanese.

大学の国際活動はどこの大学でもそうなのだが、大学と大学でやっているようでいて、個人と個人でやっている。大学はそうした個人をエンカレッジするのだが、やらない人はやならいし、やる人はやる。それでいいと言えばそうなのだが、これからの時代皆やらないといけない。特に研究や教育活動は国際的にその成果をテキストやビデオにして情報発信しないといけないと思う。そうしないと日本はどんどん世界に遅れをとる。今日オサムと4時間くらいそんな話をした。日本の建築家でも建築の教授でも海外に発信する人は本当に少ないと嘆いていた。僕もそう思う。学生ももっと交流しないとそのうち日本の後進性に気づいて驚きそして落胆するのだよ。
As with all universities, it seems that universities carry out international activities, but individuals do it. Universities encourage individuals, but some do it, and some don’t do it. If you say that’s fine, you’re right, but everyone will have to do it in the future. In particular, If we don’t do this, Japan will fall further and further behind the rest of the world. I talked to Osamu about this for about 4 hours today. He lamented that very few Japanese architects or architecture professors communicate their ideas overseas. I agree with him. If students don’t interact with each other more, they will eventually realize how backward Japan is and become surprised and disappointed.

オサムがコンクリートに何塗っているのかと聞くが何も塗ってない。型枠がキレイならコンクリートもキレイになる。Osamu asks what the concrete is painted on, but there’s nothing painted on it. If the formwork is clean, the concrete will also be clean.

仕事

チェコリベレッツ工科大学教授のオサムと夏に修了したハルカ来宅。オサムは首を傾げないとこの天井にぶつかる。Osamu, a professor at Czech Liberec Technical University, and Haruka, who completed his studies in the summer, came to visit us. If Osamu doesn’t tilt his head, he will hit this ceiling.
