最近出たSwitchパブリッシングのギャルソン特集を読んだ。川久保さんはどんな人という質問にスタッフが「勉強家、毎朝誰よりも早く7時にアトリエにきます」と答えた。川久保はこれからのビジョンを聞かれ「新しいものを毎日作り続ける」と答えた。彼女は殆ど新しいと続けるしか言わないからインタビューにならなくてすいませんと謝っていた。もう80をこえている。尽きないチカラを見習いたい。I read the Garcon special feature by Switch Publishing that came out recently. When a staff was asked what kind of person Kawakubo is, they answered, “She is a studious person, and she comes to the atelier every morning at 7 o’clock before anyone else.” When asked about her vision for the future, Kawakubo answered, “Continue creating new things every day.” She apologized and said that she was sorry that most of the things she said were new or continuity. She’s already over 80. I want to emulate the endless power.

学会があってもたもたしてたが、本日脱稿。鹿島出版会に原稿送る。そして著者Osamu Okamura は昨日来日。日本語版への序文書いてと今朝頼んだらabsolutelyとの返事。I took time to finishe my manuscript due to AIJ conference,. But I finished it today. Submit the manuscript to Kajima Publishing. And author Osamu Okamura came to Japan yesterday. When I asked him to write a preface to the Japanese version this morning . he replied absolutely.

魚谷さんのところに行ったMが担当したコンテナ、OGのEが働いていた関さんの事務所がデザインした噂の蕎麦屋、OBのHが藤原さんのところで担当した京都市芸大、ブルボ、鳩居堂、見るものに事欠かない。市長もはるかにクリエイティブ。東京より文化的だな。There’s no shortage of things to see, including the container that M who went to Uoya atelier was in charge of, the rumored soba restaurant, Kyoto City University of Arts, Blue bottle coffee and Kyukyodo. The mayor is also very creative. It’s more cultural than Tokyo.
