長野駅前広場建設委員会の委員をしていたことがある。仕事はタクシー、バス、商店会の利権調整であり、理想的な歩行者空間創造とはやや距離がある。その経験から見ると東京駅前広場の車の横断を排除したのは画期的だと思う。(写真は日経新聞)
I used to be a member of the Nagano Station Square Construction Committee. My job was to adjust the interests of taxis, buses, and shops, which is a little far from creating an ideal pedestrian space. From that experience, I think it is epoch-making to eliminate the crossing of cars in the Tokyo station square. (The photo is Nikkei newspaper)
