ポルトガルは独裁政権が70年代まで続き、人々が、街に出ることは日常ではなかった。スペインのオープンな感じは街に感じられないと昨日読んだ本に書いてあった。マテウスにしてもソウト•ド•モウラにしても比較的閉じた建築が多いのはそんな政治的トラウマなのだろうか?
In Portugal, the dictatorship continued until the 1970s, and it was not common for people to go out into the city. The book I read yesterday said that the openness of Spain doesn’t exist in Portugal. Is it such a political trauma that many relatively closed buildings by Mateus or Sout de Moura?
