建築家の基点
建築家には基点があるものです。それは、建築家の初期の作品の中に醸造され、漂白することなくむしろ、洗練あるいは変奏し、建築家の今を形作っています。建築家とはその基点をダイヤの原石を掘り当てるかの如く、自らの中に発見し、研磨できた人たちを言うのでしょう。
それら基点は、建築に内在する系としての物、間、関係性、建築に外在する系としての世界に分けられました。どちらの系に重心を置くかでその建築家の在り方が決まるのだと思います。

Architects have origins. They were brewed in their early works, then refined or varied, rather than bleached, shaping the architect’s present. Architects are those who have found and polished origins in themselves, as if they were digging a rough diamond.
These origins were divided into things as in a system that is inherent in architecture, or things as in a system that is external to architecture. I think that the way the architect should be is determined by which system they put their weight on.
