先ほど編集後記を送り8月15日号JIAマガジンは校了。今月の「建築が生まれる時」は遠藤克彦さんが中島美術館の特徴的な内部パサージュのデザインを実施設計時に完成させたときに作った模型の写真。コンペ時に提案された立体的なパブリックスペース（パッサージュ）の正確なスケールはこのような検討を経て決定したことに感慨を覚える。

I just sent an editorial postscript, and the August 15th issue of JIA Magazine has finished proofreading. This month’s “When architecture is born” is a photograph of a model that Katsuhiko Endo made when he completed the design of the characteristic interior passage of the Nakanoshima Museum of Art during the implementation design. I am deeply moved that the exact scale of the three-dimensional public space (passage) proposed at the time of the competition was decided through such consideration.
