白の服飾史

大河ドラマでも帝は白を着ていることが多い。西洋でも権威あるもの高貴な身分のものは白を着ていた。ギリシア、ローマ社会階層の上の身分の人は白いリネンを着ていた。汚れやすく洗濯も大変だから富裕でなければ着られないということも理由の一つ。僕が白を着るのは富裕とは関係ない。In historical dramas, an emperor often wears white. In the West, those with authority and nobility wore white. In Greece and Rome, people of higher social status wore white linen. One reason for this was that it was hard to wash and easy to get dirty, but only the wealthy could wear it. My choice to wear white has nothing to do with wealth.
