突如バルセロナのエンリックから電話がかかてきた。引退準備していると聞いたけど。何している？だって。やること多すぎてそれどこじゃないよというと。篠原モノグラフ書いているらしいけど自分の博士論文を和訳して一緒出さないかなどと楽天的なことを言う。カタルーニャ工科大学の日本建築研究所の話は進んでいるようで、ETHやラテンアメリカも巻き込みたいと言う。日本応援団が海外にいるのは心強い。バルセロナに時折住むと言うのもいいなあ。Suddenly, I received a phone call from Enric from Barcelona. He said he heard that I am preparing to retire. what am I doing? I answered that there’s so much to do that there’s no place to do it. He asked me if I am writing Shinohara monograph, and he says optimistically that he would like to translate his doctoral thesis into Japanese and publish it along with mine. Talks with the Japan Architectural Institute at the Polytechnic University of Catalunya seem to be progressing, and they say they want to involve ETH and Latin America as well. It’s reassuring to have Japanese cheering teams overseas. It would be nice to live in Barcelona once in a while.
