自らが自らを作る生物のようなシステムを自己言及的なシステムとしてオートポィエシスと呼ぶ。ルーマンは社会そして芸術もそういうシステムとして読み込んだ。果たして建築はどうか？あるスタイルが自己言及的に反復する建築はそういうシステムの中で回っている。システムの外の影響を全く受けない建築である。

The biological system that oneself creates is called autopoyesis as a self-referential system. Niklas Luhmann read society and art as such a system. How about architecture? Architecture in which a style repeats in a self-referential manner revolves in such a system. The architecture is completely unaffected by the outside of the system.

横顔を描いてもらおうということになり、配偶者に横顔の写真を撮ってもらった。それで分かった。耳が結構大きい。ほっぺたに皺がある。鼻がとんがっている。横顔なんて見ることは無かったのでちょっと驚く。I was asked to draw a profile, and I asked my spouse to take a picture of the profile. That’s it. My ears are quite big. There are wrinkles on the cheeks. I have a sharp nose. I was a little surprised because I never saw my profile.
