Father eternal sleep. After graduating from Hirosaki High School under the old system of education and Tokyo Imperial University, he, ran off with the daughter of Isshintei which is famous Japanese style restaurant in Towada. He lost his job by Red Purge after ,acting at union in a  major electric power and steel company. He hides in a night-time high school and transcends the civil service law as union chairman. He  has served as the Chairman of Mutual Aid Association and the President of Labor University. He was a folk person who liked to talk to the homeless, writing books and rushing to give lectures in a wheelchair. Because of Corona, the funeral will be taken place only by  his family.

内の家の一階に親父の壁面本棚がある。マルクス・エンゲルス全集など全集ものは労働大学などに寄付。後は神保町に引き取ってもらおうと兄貴と話す。

There is a wall bookshelf of my father on the first floor of House House.  Complete works such as Marx Engels complete works are donated to labor universities.  After that, I talk to his big brother to have Jimbocho pick them up.

10年前の今日僕は小諸商工会議所で建て替え案のこの模型を説明し終わった時地震が来た。それから2年半後地元建築家甘利さんの実施設計を経て建物は完成した。

Ten years ago today, the earthquake struck when I finished explaining this model of the rebuilding plan at the Komoro Chamber of Commerce. Two years and a half later, the building was completed through the implementation design of a local architect Mr. Amari.

私と配偶者の中学の同級生からお花が届いた。モダンな家に合うようにと頼まれましたと持ってきたお花屋さんが言っていた。

50年前小学校の卒業文集に資本主義は罪悪だと書いたが、その後50年間いや資本主義でもなんとかなると思ってきた。でも今日この本を読みまた気持ちはきちんと50年前に戻った。資本主義な人新生の原因であり。われわれの生活も子供たちの未来も滅ぼすと。マルクスの新しい全集に現れるらしい、晩年のマルクス思想に触れてみたい。

Fifty years ago, I wrote in my elementary school graduation collection that capitalism was guilty, but for the next 50 years I thought that capitalism would do the trick. But after reading this book today, my feelings have returned to 50 years ago. It is the cause of the  anthropocene. It is to destroy our lives and the future of our children. I would like to touch on Marx’s thoughts in his later years, which seems to appear in Marx’s new complete works.

こんな時期ではあるけれど、後期からウィーン工科大学への交換留学の手続きを開始した学生がいる。ヨーロッパは日本よりコロナ感染状況は厳しいのでどんな対応かなと思ったら、これが懇切丁寧だし、積極的なので驚いた。毎日のように学生と先方の先生のメールが飛び交っている。しかしこれで準備が整っても感染症危険レベルが２に落ちない限り渡航できない。現在世界を見渡してレベル２の国は中国、シンガポール、オーストラリアなどごくわずかしかない。

Despite Covid-19, one of our students has started the procedure for an exchange to the Vienna University of Technology from the second semester. I wondered what the response would be, as the corona infection situation in Europe is much more complicated than in Japan, but I was surprised at how polite and proactive they were. There are daily emails between the student and the teacher. But even if she is ready to go, she cannot travel unless the risk of infectious disease drops to level 2. Currently, there are only a few countries globally with a level 2, such as China, Singapore, and Australia.
