ロールズの正義論を知りたく新書本を読んでみた。建築は正義なのかと考えてみたり、建築家は正義なのかと思ってみたり、でもどうもそう言うことのようでそうでもない。I read a book to know Rawls’ theory of justice. I wonder if architecture is justice, or if architects are justice, but it seems like that’s not the case.

故平田哲朗の個展を3331で見る。ppバンドの直径3センチくらいの輪を数万個作りこういうものが生まれた。気が遠くなるような制作への執念にただただ驚く。Saw the solo exhibition of the late Tetsuro Hirata at 3331. This kind of thing was born by making tens of thousands of PP band rings with a diameter of about 3 cm. I am simply amazed at the obsession with production that makes me dizzy.

デザインによって人間は生残るとして、アメリカで環境に目を配った初期の本と言われる。ノイトラ1954年の書。ここでも技術は道具に過ぎないと記されている。It is said to be one of the first books in the United States to pay attention to the environment, assuming that human beings survive through design. Neutra wrote it in 1954 . Here, too, technology is described as nothing more than a tool.

芸大で中山英之さんとお会いした。坂牛研卒が沢山働いているようで感謝された。先生としては嬉しい。I met Hideyuki Nakayama at Tokyo University of the Arts. Many graduates from Sakaushi Lab seemed to be working and were appreciated. I am happy as a teacher.

前田圭介さんにインタビュー。毎週金曜日に母校と早稲田で教えるので東京に来るとのこと。では僕が教える芸大に来てもらい公開インタビューをお願いした。学生の質問もあり公開インタビューの方がいいなあ。Interview with Keisuke Maeda.
