中学時代いっしょにサッカーしていた同級生が、クラスのメーリスに近況報告をしてくれた。

Diegoに教えてもらったオランダの牧師で建築家のハンス・ヴァン・デル・ラーン(Hans van der Laan)の作品集を買って勉強中。音が消えたような建築である。チュニックまでデザインするのはいいなあ。

早稲田大学文学部キャンパスまで散歩。ここで教えている頃、教えていた学部に娘が入学。一回僕の授業を聞きにきたがその後大学で見たことはなかった。

金箱さんとZoom構造打ち合わせ、こっちのスケッチにドンドン書き込んでくる。描いてもすぐ消せるから遠慮ない。対面より効率いいかも。

「CLTは普及するだろうか？」昨日CLTを構法計画に位置づける青島啓太さんの博士論文の審査をしながら自問した。CLTは大型木質パネルで、PC板の木バージョンと言っていい。拙訳『メディアとしてのコンクリート』においてPC板は打放しに比べて熟練労働不用な合理性の産物であり、それ故に生まれた単純反復が嫌われたとある。日本でも合理的であるはずがコスト高でなかなか使われない。さてCLTはと言うと、PC板ほど規格性は強くないが。これも高い。しかし木には木の味がありまた環境性能が高い。だから政府も補助金出して応援している。コンクリートは政治とフォーティーが言うようにCLTの普及も政治に依拠する部分が大きいのだろう。しかしいいデザインを生み出すことはそれ以上に普及の原動力てある。

パリの田根さんに4月に送った郵便が丁寧に往復３ヶ月の旅を終えて戻ってきた。送った後に引っ越したのだろう。宛先見つからずというシールが貼られている。当時ヨーロッパは航空便なし船便のみ。南米は受付停止、北米は航空便があったが届くのに２ヶ月かかった。この船便はそう考えると結構早いかもしれない。結構綺麗な姿で戻ってきた。

理科大学は後期の遠隔授業を決めた。 異議はない。一方、昨日翻訳ズームで話をしたメンバー曰く、A郡が教えている静岡の大学は対面が原則。東京と地方の違いかと思う。しかし、東京でもIICUは原則対面、遠隔での出席も可とすると言う。東大の文学部は、3密を避けて、すべてが対面できる教室がないため、リモートを推奨している。芸大では実技指導を受けられない学生が授業料の返金を求めているらしい。後期は芸大で教えるが、対面だろうか？それならもっと広い部屋を用意して欲しい。

平行定規を使うと設計は四角くなる。ドラフタ-を使うと斜め線が楽に描け、コンパスを買うとRが増える。昨日100円ショップでコンパスを買ったのは事実だが、それが理由でこのスケッチがRだらけになっているのではない。様々な理由からこうなっている。しかし2-3本手がが滑ったかもしれない。
