一足先に東京に行った配偶者から、留守番してたモンステラ元気に新芽が開いたとのLINE。 今夏留守番してたクレマチスが痛かったので、心配だったので安心。少し前に、外出先のモンステラが元気に咲き、芽を出しているとLINEをいただきました。今年の夏に行った時に植えていたクレマチスが焼けてしまったので心配していましたが、今は安心しました。

・冬、近代建築見直し作業を4人で開始、2年後には本になるかな？
・春、2冊の本を上梓、結構評判がよく安堵
・夏、ジビエが着工、リノベ住宅の設計開始、いい建物になりそう
・秋、配偶者の実家をファッションデザイナーが素敵に改装、ありがとう
・冬、Fujimi Hutに賞をいただく、今までもらった賞で一番嬉しい
・来春、訳書、編著、共著、刊行予定、あとひと息

This year’s highlights
・In winter, the four of us started reviewing modern architecture. Will it become a book in two years?
・I published two books in the spring and was relieved they were well received.
・In the summer, Gibier started construction, and the design of the renovated house started. It looks like it will be a lovely building
・Thank you to the fashion designer who beautifully renovated my spouse’s family home in the fall.
・Receiving an award for Fujimi Hut in winter is the happiest I have ever received.
・Next spring, translation, editing, co-authoring, and publication scheduled, one more time

世界哲学史2はヤスパースが枢軸の時代と呼んだ紀元前500年くらいからの話。その頃中国、インド、中東のあたりに思想が生まれた。プラトンの物の存在理由を問う哲学ではなく、物を見る私の心の持ち方を問う哲学もある。History of World Philosophy 2 takes place around 500 BC, which Jaspers calls the Axis Age. At that time, ideas were born in China, India, and the Middle East. Rather than Plato’s philosophy of questioning the reason for the existence of things, there is also the philosophy of challenging how we hold our minds when looking at things.

井上靖と司馬遼太郎は2人とも新聞記者出身で美術、宗教担当だった。井上の芸術評価は瞬間的だった。一期一会と自ら言う。美学を学んだ人にしては理屈っぽくない。三十そこそこの井上が十以上年上の評価も定まっていた小倉遊亀の作品を剣もほろろに批判していたのには驚く。Yasushi Inoue and Ryotaro Shiba were former newspaper reporters covering art and religion. Inoue’s artistic evaluation was instantaneous. He says it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance. For someone who has studied aesthetics, this doesn’t seem logical. I was surprised that Inoue, who was around 30 years old, was so bluntly criticizing the works of Yuki Ogura, who was considered to be more than ten years older than him.
