お、いいなこの支え方。久々に辻君との対面構造打ち合わせ。Oh, how good is this support. Face-to-face meeting with Mr. Tsuji for the first time in a while.

附属の先輩建築家でヨットマンの袴田喜夫さんが風の塔の写真を送ってくださった。これはなかなかの写真ですねえ。昔はそんなこと思わなかったけれど、最近こんな設計できたのは幸運だったなと思う。アクアライントンネルの換気塔。2本あるのは間に東京湾の卓越風を通して負圧を作り排気ガスを誘引するためなんです。
Mr. Yoshio Hakamada, a yachtsman and an architect who graduated from the same high school as me, sent me a photo of the Tower of Wind. This is a nice photo. Although I did not think at the time this tower was completed, I think it was lucky for me to be involved in this project.

女子大の最終講義。これで前期全ての大学のお仕事は終わり。これから毎日建築審査。今年がピーク。来年は学会のお仕事も非常勤もぐんと減る。Final lecture at women’s college. This is the end of all the university work in the first semester. From tomorrow I will do
building inspections every day. Those works peak this year. Next year, there will be a drastic reduction in AIJ works and part-time lecturer work.

東北大学環境デザインスタジオと意匠デザインスタジオの合同スタジオ最終講評会。課題は大学施設のリノベ。伊香賀さんと私以外に環境意匠の常勤教員と施設部の方も参加。未だ意匠のやりたいことが不明なものが多いが最初の試みとしては良い出来だ。The final review of the joint studio of Tohoku University Environmental Design Studio and Design Studio. The task is to renovate old university facilities. In addition to Mr. Ikaga and myself, a full-time faculty member of the environmental design and people from the facilities department also participated. There are still many things that I don’t know what they want to do with the design, but it’s a good first attempt.

新幹線乗る前に丸善へ。いろいろなところにおいていただき感謝。Before getting on the Shinkansen, go to Maruzen. Thank you for putting it in various places.
