Taku Sakaushi

チェコの現代建築家でリベレッツ工科大の教授でもあるPeter Stolin設計の幼稚園。FRPで包んだ二つの箱の隙間に子供が走る。A kindergarten designed by Peter Stolin, Czech contemporary architect and professor at the Technical University of Liberec. A child runs between two boxes wrapped in FRP.

リベレッツはテキスタイルで栄えた美しい街。巨大なビラが街を埋める。そんな一つをコンバートしたアパートメントホテルに滞在中。Liberets is a beautiful town that flourished with textile industry, Huge villas fill the city. I am staying at an apartment hotel that converted one of them.

リベレッツワークショップ始まる。日本から16人チェコから同数の学生が参加して旧市街の再生デザインを行う。初日はリベレッツ市の建築課の方から説明を受ける。敷地を見てからランチ。8割のチェコ人はビールを飲む。そしてスタジオに入りチーム分けして作業開始。夜は僕のレクチャー。Liberet’s workshop has begun. 16 students from Japan and the same number of students from the Czech Republic will participate in the redevelopment design of the old town. On the first day, we received an explanation from the city’s building department at the city hall. Had lunch after visiting the grounds. 80% of Czechs drink beer. Then we entered the studio and divided into teams and started working. My lecture was at night.

昨晩の勉強会を終えてナイトフライトでプラハミュラー邸へ。ラウムプランは予想以上の凄さ。
After last night’s study session, I took a night flight to Prague Müller House. The Raum Plan was more impressive than I expected.

学会の建築論•建築意匠小委員会は理科大で増田友也勉強会を開催した。増田の博士論文『建築の原始的構造』は十年以上前に手に入れたが難解だった。今日増田研究で学位をとられた門間さんの発表を聞き少し理解が深まった。設計の拠点を大学にしか持たず7千枚の図面を残し、クライアントのいないプロジェクトを延々とやっていた彼の姿には鬼気迫るものを感じる。自ら作るものを抽象化された「空間」ではなく、実存に立ち現れるものとして「風景」と呼んだ。しかしそれを作る方策としてモジュールを使い場を構造化した。構造とは力の抽象化に他ならない。抽象を回避しながら抽象に依拠した捻れ（矛盾）によって彼の設計、執筆は永久にゴールに辿り着かなかったのかと勝手に想像した。

The architectural theory/architectural design subcommittee of AIJ held a Tomoya Masuda study group at the Tokyo University of Science. I obtained Masuda’s doctoral thesis “Architectural Primitive Structure” more than ten years ago, but it was difficult to understand. I was able to understand a little more when I heard the presentation of Mr. Monma. who received his degree in Masuda research today. With only a design base at the university, he left behind 7,000 blueprints and continued to work on projects without clients. He called what he created not an abstracted “space”, but a “landscape” as something that appears in existence. However, as a way to make it, he used modules to structure the place. Structure is nothing but an abstraction of force. He fantasizes that his design and writing could never reach the goal due to the twist (contradiction) of relying on abstraction while avoiding abstraction.
