Just before I arranged the plane tickets for the Spanish architect who was scheduled to arrive in Japan in September 9th, I received a joking e-mail saying, “I thought I am going there in October 9th,” and my head was spinning. It happened last night. I called and emailed many times to explore the possibility of postponing, but I replied that it would be difficult if he didn’t come as scheduled. Then he replied that he would reschedule and come to Japan in September.

I have seen the Shiseido Global Innovation Center. Perimeter pillars and spandrels are PC. The reason is to reduce on-site work and to make large parts.

The National Museum of Modern Art used to be an unremarkable building, but recently it has come to look like a large, well-formed building. When I told about it to my spouse, she nodded that there were many things like that. But I don’t know if this is because the times have changed or because I have changed.
