Five autonomous attributes of fashion. Cheap, Easy, Convenient, Fixable, Functional, and Prestige of the creator. Indeed , though this book is 40 years old.流行

zoom希望

On June 21, 2021

We have a thesis seminar on Mondays and a reading and design seminar on Fridays, and since they have lifted the state of emergency, we asked the students whether they prefer face-to-face or zoom. Twenty students answered that 8 of them prefer face-to-face in the reading and design seminars, but all of them prefer to zoom in on the thesis seminar. No wonder. It’s no wonder because they can hear what the presenter is saying and see materials clearly, and it doesn’t take them long to get to school. If there is no student request after Corona, I think we should do it by zoom.

The number of designs in cold places has increased. In cold places, the foundation concrete can only be struck before the soil freezes or after it melts. And unfortunately I’m busy because they want to start before it freezes. Do I spend less time drinking, less time sleeping, or less time reading? I don’t want to reduce any of them, but let’s reduce the time to drink for the time being.

On June 20, 2021
by 卓 坂牛

Gabriel Tarde was one of the founders of French sociology, but he was pushed out of history by Durkheim’s theory, which he opposed, but now he is attracting attention again. I am reading this book because I am interested in the fact that Tarde’s theory that “society is made up of imitations of people” is considered the start of fashion theory. It is important to note that Tarde’s imitation includes unconscious imitation. He also uses the term invention as a counterpoint to imitation to describe how a departure from society brings about social change. Simmel took over this idea, but he said that imitation and distinction were the driving forces of fashion. There is a coexistence of the security of being the same as others and the desire to be different in one person.

On June 19, 2021
by 卓 坂牛

Does society create emotions, or are they generated by universal principles inherent in all human beings, or are they neither? The same is true of fashion, which I recently mentioned in FB about whether society created it or an autonomous mechanism. The book says that we can’t choose both two, but I can only think that both principles make it. The same is true of architecture.

価値観

On June 19, 2021
by 卓 坂牛

There is a customer in the work and if the customer accepts your work it will be rewarded. There seems to be no customer for university faculty members, but there are judges for research and students for education. If neither is accepted, it will not be rewarded. In the past, I was dented if it wasn’t rewarded, but now I’ve come to think that I should change the customer if it’s not accepted. Well, it’s not so easy to change, but if you think so, it’s easy, and I think it’s a coincidence that the values match.

On June 18, 2021
by 卓 坂牛

There is an architecture in which a shape is created by combining functions with an architecture and there is another type of architecture which is packed with functions by first placing geometry. I call the former sac architecture and the latter box architecture. And although my design is usually a sac, when I come to a large site, I want to make it into a box. Whether it’s a villa by Palladio or a rectangular parallelepiped forest of Kazuo Shinohara, the site is vast. If it is wide, there will be no restrictions from the surroundings and it will be free. On the contrary, it loses its place and relies on geometry.
