Taku Sakaushi

一昨年の春から始まったモノグラフは完成し。本日DHLが届けてくれました。気恥ずかしくなるような大胆な紙面構成と素敵なフォントは日本ではできないなと感じます。正確な図面、凡例、ディテールはこの手のモノグラフではピカイチです。スチュアート先生、ディエゴ•グラス、桑原君、滝口さん、千葉学さんに寄稿いただき、エンリックと対談しました。皆様心から感謝いたします。

The monograph that started in the spring of the year before is finally completed. DHL delivered it today. I feel that the bold composition and nice fonts that make me embarrassed cannot be done in Japan. Accurate drawings, legends and details are perfect for this kind of monograph. We had Mr. Stewart, Diego Glass, Mr. Kuwahara, Mr. Takiguchi, and Mr. Manabu Chiba contributed and talk with Enric. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

トップライトの光で昼間は800lxは出るが夜は300まで落ちる。ライト足すか否か？
With the light of the top light, 800lx comes out in the daytime, but it drops to 300 at night. Whether to add light?

甲府の現場は3棟で確認を取ったが3棟目はこれから着工。2棟はできたので事務所検査、
今日は着工後3回目の現場である。親がいなくても子は育つ。4月から仮使用する。
The Kofu buildings were confirmed in 3 buildings, but the construction of the 3rd building is about to begin. Two buildings have been completed, so I conducted office inspection. This is the 3rd time to come here after construction started. Child grows without parents. They will use it temporarily from April.

ロラン•バルトの『モードの体系』は原著名はSystème de la modeで英訳はThe fashion systemである。モードはファッションと訳されているがこの2語は正確には一致しない。さてではモードを日本語にするならなんとなろうか？流行の服というのが近い。バルトは本書で「書かれた情報内容」と言う。つまり流行の服が言語化されたその内容をモードと呼んでいる。この分析は故に言説が生まれるさまざまな分野に応用可能なのである。

Roland Barthes’s “モードの体系” was originally written in French Système de la mode and translated into English  The fashion system. Mode is translated as fashion, but the two words do not exactly match. So what if the mode is set to Japanese? Fashionable clothes are close. Barthes  said “written information content” in this book. In other words, he calls the verbalized content of fashionable clothes a mode. This analysis can therefore be applied to the various fields in which discourse is born.

バレンシアを出た僕の本はヴィトリアからミラノに飛び、そこからライプツィヒに行き悪天候に遭って止まっている。今や荷物はこうして何処にあるかが追っかけられる。今に人間もこうして追っかけられるかもしれないと思うと恐ろしい。

After leaving Valencia, my book flew from Vitoria to Milan, then to Leipzig, where it stopped in bad weather. Now you can track where your luggage is. It’s scary to think that humans may be chased in this way now.

TC Cuadernos という建築家のモノグラフシリーズの149番目に選んでいただき光栄である。ヨーロッパでは30ユーロで売り出された。最初の40冊が先週届くはずが悪天候でドイツの空港で足止め中。
しかしこのモノグラフシリーズを見ると世界には素敵なアーキテクトが沢山いるものだと感心する。
I am honored to be selected as the 149th in the monograph series of the architect TC Cuadernos. It has started to be sold in Europe for 30 euros. The first 40 books should arrive last week but are stalled at a German airport due to adverse weather.
Looking at this monograph series, I am impressed that there are many wonderful architects in the world.
