Fuji Lake Hotel was founded in 1932 and is one of the few hotels where government sold the lakeside. The current building has a dynamic space that have been designed by the predecessor brother who graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts.

I have already made 30 films of PowerPoints, so I know what I’m going to talk about in my presentation today. However, since all my proposal this time revolved around Mt. Fuji, I took a walk along the shore of Lake Kawaguchi to see it. A big ugly bridge spanned across the coast of Lake Kawaguchi. We can see Mt. Fuji from the middle of the bridge. Mt. Agua in Guatemala is the only other place in the world with this graceful curve.

On November 10, 2020

I spoke with the president of a hotel in Kawaguchiko. He invited me to use this hotel as a guest for workation. I will have a class in the morning and deliver a presentation at the municipality and have a class and meeting afterward, so I decided to use the hotel for two days. The view of Lake Kawaguchi reminded me of my maiden work, a villa at Lake Kawaguchi.

If you go to the Queens Square atrium, you can see the subway station at the bottom. I can see the head of my spouse in the basement from my study. This sense of distance creates the strength and unexpectedness of the space.

There are quite a few students who say that when they test in a zoom class and send the answer in word file, they send it as a text because they use cell phones. My daughter’s cell phone is new, but her computer is quite old. It looks like they’re doing what we’re doing on a computer with a cell phone. Eventually, the era of drawing drawings on cell phones will come.

Yuki Handa is a genius of illustrations having studied at Sakaushi Lab who works at Nomura Kohei. She had announced on FB that she would draw a portrait, so I asked for it and it arrived this morning. Great. I wonder if I would use this for my funeral.

Soothing

It’s soothing to see  small greens near the entrance, such as a small olive.
