Taku Sakaushi

魚谷さんを理科大の2部の講評会に招いたのは10年くらい前。次に会ったのもやはりその頃、拙作「内の家」に来られ、新建築に批評を書いてくれた。その後JIAマガジンのインタビューをお願いしたのが去年。そして学会賞を受賞。そこでお祝いに事務所に伺った。坂牛研出身の宮田にも久しぶりに会った。出来立ての作品集もいただいた。ありがとう。It was about 10 years ago that I invited Mr. Uoya to a review session for the second division of the Tokyo University of Science. The next time I met him was around that time, too, when he came to see my work “House House” and wrote a review of the Japan Architects. After that, I asked for an interview with JIA Magazine last year. And he received AIJ prize. So I went to the office to celebrate. I also met Miyata, a former member of Sakaushi ken, for the first time in a while.

学会の研究会で京都に行く今朝、魚谷さんに差し上げるお祝いが、いつも使う鞄に入らない。あれこれ変えてやっと入った。新幹線でさて本を読もうとしたらメガネが入ってない。鞄を変えると忘れ物をする。よく起こる。This morning, when I am going to Kyoto for an AIJ conference, the present of congratulations I want to give to Mr. Uotani won’t fit in my usual bag. After making a few changes, I finally got it in. When I tried to read a book on the Shinkansen, I realized I didn’t have my glasses on. When I change my bag, I forget things. It happens often.

何十年も使ったヴァイオリンの肩当てだが、ゴムか劣化して上手く装着できず捨てたつもりが、配偶者が「いい形」と回収して飾ってある。確かになかなかである。I had used it for decades, but the rubber had deteriorated and I couldn’t put it on properly, so I thought I’d thrown it away, but my spouse took it back and put it on display, saying it was in good shape. It’s certainly quite good.

もうすぐ梅雨かな？寒いのと雨は苦手。
