On February 28, 2024
by 卓 坂牛

Ms. Marta asked me the title of the public lecture in Madrid. Looks like it’s for a poster. I would like to create something new that has never been seen before, “the driving force to change architecture,” but I don’t have time to prepare it. For now, let’s leave it as “flow and stagnation”. If I can make it by the lecture date, let’s do it.

Looking ahead, I decided to have monthly conversations with someone from a particular publishing company (not Architectural). The theme is the common principles of food, clothing, and shelter. This kind of thing is very nice. We talked about various topics for about an hour without obliging each other, and then we worked on the next homework assignment and zoomed in again at the end of March. It’s thrilling not knowing how the story will develop. One-on-one is also good.

The site of the gibier processing factory Dear Deer is a world of silver. Planting meeting with on-site Ms. Toda and Ms. Kida. The plan changed because we cut the larch a lot more than we had planned. The main topic of discussion was what flowers deer do not eat.

I was invited to be a guest critic for Chiba Institute of Technology’s graduation design and master’s design program. A total of 14 works that have already been selected were discussed with Mio Tsuneyama, Kiyoaki Takeda, and others. We, full-time teachers, former teachers, and guests, all voted, and the surprising result was that the first place was the same in all votes. I gave my book to the gold, silver, and bronze people.

As soon as I met Professor Sakamoto, He said, “Dialogue between Mr. Wakamatsu and Mr. Ito the other day is difficult to understand, and this is the editor-in-chief’s responsibility,” he said angrily. I couldn’t keep up with what he was talking about, but it was about JIA magazine. I’m happy to hear someone say, “Some people are actually reading it,” but I’m also being harsh.
